Full Description

The Ergonomic Modular Rail V2 with Magpul M-LOK support, allows the user to mount an array of third party accessories and customize their weapon platform to suit their needs. M-LOK accessories can be attached along the length of the rail at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 o’clock positions. The EMR V2 M-LOK also features two integrated anti-rotational QD slots at the base of the rail at the 2 and 10 o’clock positions.

The primary difference between the EMR V2 and V1 is that the V2 has a machined M1913 picatinny rail section at the muzzle end of the rail at the 12’ o’clock position. The machined M1913 section is ideal for attaching front sights, lasers, IR illuminators, lights and any other optic or sling related M1913
compatible accessory.

Great part!
Review by Thomas

Beautifully made, fine fit and finish. I've used two of these on builds so far and have no complaints. If you use a LOT of rail space you may want to know that the M-lok fastening points are not at 0-90-180-270 degrees, they are at 60 degree intervals, so the top and bottom line up but if you're using a 90 degree offset part it's going to be "off" by +/- 30 degrees. I sincerely doubt it should cause an issue.

Some say this is the best rail for the money. I think it’s the best rail system, period. Superior lock up system & awesome ergonomics, this is my favorite rail by far.

No Competitor...
Review by mike

I just received my 15" V2M-LOK for a new build. This is the first ALG rail I have purchased. Without a doubt it is the most comfortable hand guard I have grasped with my overly large hands. It has plenty of M-LOK positions to use, the fit and finish is second to no one. In this price range the ALG has NO competitors and leads the pack. I will give a follow up once I get this hand guard mounted.

I purchased a 12" EMRv2 for an AR pistol, it is amazing, lightweight and easy to install. When installed, this thing is bomb-proof, no way of it ever backing out. Now I want a 15" for my SPR rifle. Awesome!!!

Excellent product!
Review by Jonathon

I have mounted multiple AR hand guards over the years and this is one of the best in hand fits that I have ever experienced. Once installed, they are very solid in the hand with no wiggle and very light, making my rifles feel very balanced, The instillation was a bit tricky, but the YouTube videos were very step by step and easy to follow. I now have 2 of these hands guards, and love them both. I plan on making these my go to rails for any future builds.

Very easy to install, somewhat hot to shoot
Review by Robert

If you follow the directions, the install is as simple as possible. Very well engineered.
Put approximately 200 rounds through my new build this weekend. The size made it very easy and comfortable to hold.
The only drawback I found was the hand guard was too hot to hold after 100 rounds. Had to use a glove to finish my shooting. Not sure if it was the barrel (it was melonited). Any thoughts?

So far my favorite rail
Review by Easytimes

I have purchased two of these EMR rails and they are everything I wanted. I started out with a manufactured carbine which had a MilSpec drop in hand guard. The rifle came with a pencil barrel, and so I was somewhat concerned about burning my hands, should the rifle be knocked down or have some other type of accident, during or after shooting, while the barrel retained some heat.

The first EMR rail impressed me with the simplicity of installation, and no need for a torque wrench. I was further impressed with how much more I enjoyed shooting the rifle, so I decided to add an EMR V2 to my second rifle, which was a full build attempt at a VERY light weight slick handling AR.

I used an even lighter weight barrel, and stayed with the same 15" EMR V2 that I used for the first rifle modification. When I finished, I expected it to be a decent weight, but at 5 lb 13.1 oz, I was not only thrilled with the weight, but the balance was absolutely terrific.

When other people look at this rifle, they usually pick up the first rifle, and say how nice it feels, and then they pick up the rifle that I built, and I have gotten a WOW every time. I must admit, this was supposed to be my wife's rifle, but I may need to make a few modifications on the manufactured rifle and let her have that one. Only problem is... she shot it last week, and even she couldn't believe how nicely it handled.

I shot the first rifle with the original hand guard on it, but even that one feels much better for its intended purpose with the EMR installed, along with the other mods that both rifles now have.

Every time I have used these rifles, I notice just how effective these rails are at deflecting heat when the barrels build a little temperature. I can tell the barrel is warm, but so far, no gloves needed due to heat issues. I can't think of a thing to NOT like about these rails, they live up to their name, and even contribute to building an intended light weight rifle.

Very Happy. Ergonomic Indeed!
Review by Michael

I bought the v2 15" in FDE for a spr build from their blem sale in July. Came with one little dent on the end, which literally did not matter at all as far as function was concerned and was obviously expected coming from a blem sale. Shipping was decent.

When mine arrived, the barrel nut was pushed into the tube for transit. No big deal, but the fit was so tight I couldn't just pull it out. So i called and left a message at midnight California time. Even though they are 3 time zones ahead, the customer service guy I spoke to made the effort of checking my area code as to not call and wake me up at 5am my time. That was HUGE to me. He reccomended I use a broomstick and just push the barrel nut out since the wood would not damage the metal.

Installation was easy, followed the instructions and it went smooth. Would certainly buy again. Looks good with my SCB!

Outstanding Product
Review by MidwestRifleBuilder

I have done up rifles with three ALG rails for customers and now one for myself. All have been V2 versions, one was a 10", two were 13", and a 15" so I feel I have the line pretty well covered by now. You absolutely cannot beat the amount of engineering you are getting for the cost of these rail systems. The barrel nut design is exactly what it needs to be to support the rail and keep it aligned and true. The system as a whole was designed to be strong, lightweight, and rigid. It does all that very well. I will never use a rail system again that uses clamping force around a barrel nut. This system, as well as the big brother Geissele system are the strongest there is, with BCM a close second. Whether you are a serious competitor or a law enforcement or industry professional that depends on a rifle with your life, any of these ALG rails will meet all of your demands. Colt OEM2 gas blocks fit under these perfectly. Magpul type-2 covers will work but need to be trimmed on the sides for a flush fit. Installation is simple, the shim system allows the installer to set the perfect torque every time with no need of a torque wrench. No more wrenching on barrel nuts to 100+ ft-lbs when 30-40 takes you just past a gas tube hole (like it always seems to). This puts less strain on the upper receiver and has been known to increase accuracy as well. Well done ALG and Geissele!

amazing product, couldnt be happier
Review by Walter

i was in the market for a slim, lightweight, rigid, and good looking rail. problem was, i was on a budget. so the price on th15" EMR V2 was in my ball park. then i looked around and realized that ALG Defense is apart of the Geissele company. and damn nea everyone has heard of them and their quality. i needed to look no further. i received my rail in 2 days as advertised(love that), installation was easy(love that), end product is a lightweight, slim, ergonomical, stong, and a sexy lookin rail(love all that too). my colt 9620 now feels more balanced and way lighter than the old magpul handgaurd it came with. the barrel nut, shims, and torque wrench are ingenius and easy to use. its a damn shame i only got to use them once(or i guess i could buy another rail). magpul mbus sights fit and look great. budget low pro gas block, and used the original gas tube. did i mention i love M-LOK? this product is of the best quality for way more than the price they charge. great product, i couldnt be happier. i will be purchasing more of these rails

Professional Rails for Dummies
Review by John

My first self-installed rails were all drop-ins (Midwesr/Magpul/Diamondhead) and then I moved up to the Troy Alpha free-float which latched on to the stock barrel nut. I was hesitant to go the full free-float route with removal of the stock barrel nut, use of a proprietary nut and timing, torqueing and alighment of all the parts, since I am no gunsmith!. After researching all possible options and prices, I saw the ALG EMR and immediately liked its aesthetics as I am no fab of quad or 'tacti-cool' rails.
At the website I came across Mr. Geissele's videos explaining the EMR line and installation.
Long story short, I was sold by his simple explanations on everything from tightening a screw up to complex engineering concepts and purchased a V2.
The hardest part for me was removing the OEM barrel nut! The rest just flowed effortlessly, just needing the black shim for it to torque perfectly. I now have an excellent 16" FN carbine with an excellent ALG Defense handguard!
...and built by a dummy!

One word...PRECISION!
Review by Derek

For 3-gun completion, I upgraded to a 15" EMR V2 (with Geissele low profile gas block) from the standard S&W M&P quad picatinny rail. I researched at least a dozen different rail brands/models before picking ALG, and am very glad with the choice. ALG's product videos were a large part of the selection. Obvious pride and enthusiasm in your products. I was concerned about correctly using the barrel nut wrench and obtaining proper torque, but the product video along with written instructions made it very easy. The hardest part of the process was the removal of the S&W gas block. Rail fit over the gas block, barrel nut and match to the upper receiver was perfect. Balance of the rifle seems improved, and the rail is definitely "Ergonomic". Very happy with the fit & feel, highly recommended!

Color is off
Review by Keith

This is a great rail but the desert tan color is too shiny (not matte) and almost a gold color. I sand blasted it and Cerakoted it to match the rest of the gun so all is well. I ordered the 13" version for my daughter's AR with 16" barrel and we both love the fit and feel. Mine is 15" rail for my 20" barreled AR. Even though the color is not what I had hoped for I still give it 5 stars because other "Desert Tan" products, like the Radlock mag release, are also not a good match in color.

Install was much easier than expected. Feels good in you hands. If your rifle doesn't have this it needs it.

Excellent for light weight application
Review by Robert

I bought the 10" EMR V2 for a lightweight Recce build. With the machined forend for MBUS sight there is no extra material. The machined forend allowed the shortest possible length to cover the gas block without the worry of m-lok front sight mounting screw touching gas block, negating the free float and causing accuracy issues. Quality was excellent. Very good value for the dollar. M-Lok accessories allow more weight loss and have worked very well - vertical handgrip and light mount. Build is accurate. I like and use the integrated QD slot, which saves more weight. It is a good feature that it is at the 2 o'clock location instead of 3 o'clock. It helps the build hang vertically. I wish it was at the front of the guard, not the rear. I researched lightweight options and picked this one over carbon fiber because of worry about durability, mounting and cost. ALG is now my first stop for hand guards.

ALG EMR V2 Handguard
Review by Mike

I received my ALG EMR V2 Hand-guard today (10/6/15) and as I read the directions I was kinda hesitant to install the handguard without a torque wrench. I went ahead and followed the instructions ALG provided and I was very pleased to find out how easy this hand-guard was to install! The handguard is of very very good quality and feels very comfortable in hand. This will be my first M-Lok handguard as all my others are Key-Mod and I am interested to see if M-Lok has any benefits over Key-Mod and vice versa. Overall this is a very nice quality handguard that is easy to install and feels great in my hands and I look forward to shooting with it on my 6.8SPC rifle!

Fantasic. Speedy shipping.
Review by Randy

I purchased a Blem Ergonomic Modular RAil (EMR) V2M-LOK. After about 15 minutes I finally found the Blem. If the mark I found makes it a Blem than you can buy with confidence. If this was a Blem, rest assured they have a very high mark set for excellence for their non-Blems..

A quality product and woth every penny.
Review by Mark

The fit and finish are perfect. Installation was a breeze. There's at least one inaccurate installation video on Youtube so just follow the included instructions. It's light weight and rigid. I like the free float feature without the bulk of extra rails everywhere. This make wrapping my hand around it very comfortable and easy, too.
